We will pick up you from your hotel at 7:30am. after an hour’s drive, we will arrive at the first stop in the Sacred Valley, Pisac Archaeological site, we will visit and guided tour , the architecture and engineering of the Incas here is truly astounding, the guide will take you to the most impressive spots, then we will ahead down to visit the traditional market in Pisac town , we will have free time and you can buy directly from the producers some souvenirs.
Our next stop is Urubamba town where you will have the opportunity to enjoy with a buffet lunch in a nice restaurant. after 30 minutes from Urubamba we will arrive to Ollantaytambo archaeological site here you will be able to appreciate this place, we will have the guided tour of this fascinating place.
Later, we will go to the train station where you will board the train heading to Aguas Calientes (1950m. -6396ft.)(Machu Picchu town), during the trip you will apréciate the snow capped mountain Veronica that is the main mountain of this Valley, as well fertile green Inca agricultural platforms, once in Aguas Calientes (1950m. – 6396ft.) (Machu Picchu town), you will head to your accommodation to check in, and free time, at night our Machu Picchu guide will visit you to coordinate the guiding tour of the next day.

– If you do not have the Boleto Turistico (entrance ticket to the archaeological remains of the Sacred Valley) there is no problem in the first archaeological site to visit (Pisac) you can purchase it, our guide will help you.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo – Cusco

Today you will visit Machu Picchu. We will to rise at 5 a.m. walk to the bus station to take one of the first buses up to Machu Picchu (24000m. – 7872ft.) , after a 25 minute bus ride we will arrive to Machu Picchu archaeological site, at the entrance to the Inca city, you must show your entry tickets and your passport, you wont be allowed inside without these, as soon as we will be in the citadel you will observing how the golden light of the sun gradually covers all the corners of Machu Picchu, then our tour guide will start the 2 hours guided tour, exploring all of the most important places of this impressive citadel: The Temple of the Sun, Main Plaza, Temple of the 3 Windows, The Artisan Sector, and others. After the tour, you will have free time to explore the ruins on your own.
After your visit to Machu Picchu you will need to take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town), where you can have the lunch and then will go to take the train to Ollantaytambo where you will catch our transportation for 1 hour 1/2 drive back to Cusco.
💡 To keep in mind
– The exact time to go the bus station will depend on the time of entry to Machu Picchu, so we advise you to book the tour in advance, in order to get the entrance in the first shifts. normally we suggest Entrance times to Machu Picchu are usually between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. but also you can take other later times , just let know us your preference time.
– Machu Picchu Inca site ticket is different from Machu Picchu Mountain or Huayna Picchu, when most people refer to Machu Picchu, they are referring to the archaeological site. Machu Picchu Mountain and Huayna Picchu requires a separate permit to climb., please notify us if you are interested and we will confirm you if are available spaces.
– In Ollantaytambo train station our driver will wait for you with a sign with your name and he will return you to Cusco.

From 2021, the Ministerio de Cultura (Peruvian Ministry of Culture) has created 4 types of official entrances to visit Machu Picchu those circuits were created in order to better organize the traffic of travelers inside Machu Picchu, reduce the risk of infection by Covid 19, preserve and protect the constructions of the archaeological site for the future.

If you cancel more than 96 hours before the start of the tour you will receive a refund of the total amount of the reservation except 50 USD per person (cost of the entrance to Machu Picchu). The entrance tickets to Machu Picchu are nominative and non-transferable. After this time, or in case of no-show for the tour, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Can I take any train schedule on the Sacred Valley tour to Machu Picchu?
Only has three possible schedules, the first is the 16:36 train, the second is the 19:00 pm train and last is the 21:00 pm train. With another train schedule different from the previous ones it would not be possible to make the connection to Machu Picchu in the tour of group service, but if we can organize it in private service watching the train schedule to choose.
How long is the train trip from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu village?
The journey time by train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town) is 1 hour 45 minutes.
What places will I know on the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour?
On the first day of the tour we will visit the archaeological remains of Pisac, Pisac market and Ollantaytambo, on the second day we will visit the lost Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
Will I visit the Pisac market on the tour?
In the tour you will visit different places and one of the most important to visit is the Pisac Market, in this place you will have free time of approximately 30 minutes to explore and if you want to buy some gifts the guide can suggest some stores that have novel products.
Where does the tour begin and end?
The tour begins with the pick up from your hotel or other accommodation, we also transfer you back to the hotel at the end of the tour. It is necessary that the hotel is located in the historic center or surroundings, in case your hotel is outside the historic center the pick up point will be the Plaza de Armas (main square).
What type of accommodation do they offer in the tour Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu?

For this 2022 the government divided the entrance to Machu Picchu into circuits and schedules for that reason the guided tour will be coordinated depending on the schedule and circuit of your entrance ticket, if you want to choose the best times for your visit we recommend making the reservation months in advance.
After the guided tour in Machu Picchu, what will I do?
You will have free time to explore this beautiful citadel on your own or if you like you can book the ascent to the Huayna Picchu Mountain, only 400 people can climb per day, the other option is the Machu Picchu mountain which also has limited access.
For any of the above options you must add $ 20.00, on a visit you can only upload to one of them.
How much time in advance should I make the reservation for the tour Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu?

El día uno comenzamos a las 4 de la mañana, que nos pasaron a recoger por nuestro hotel, anteriormente ya nos dieron las... read more pautas que debíamos seguir
para "la aventura", como llevar una mochila pequeña para llevar las pertenencias durante el trek y una bolsa/mochila con la ropa de cambio
y accesorios para la noche.
Recorrimos en coche unas 2 horas en las que llegamos a un pueblo para tomar un descanso y desayunar.
Otras dos horas de coche nos llevaban al comienzo de la primera caminata tranquila y sin ninguna complicación llegamos al lugar en el que comimos.
Por la tarde subimos a la laguna del Humantay a 4200 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Se pueden ver fotos en internet o de personas
que hayan estado allí, pero la imagen en la retina es impresionante, con el Humantay nevado de fondo es una imagen de película. La subida
es perfecta para la aclimatación y preparar el día siguiente. Por la noche dormimos en unas casitas muy cómodas.
El día dos de la caminata madrugamos a las 5 de la mañana, este día nos esperaba el paso Salkantay 4630m haciendo una dura subida, tanto por
la subida en sí, como por la altitud a la que está, por lo que recomiendo una buena aclimatación a la altura y una preparación física
para sufrir lo menos posible, pero el sufrimiento merece la pena. De nuevo la imágenes captadas por la retina son increíbles y dignas de vivir.
Si dura es la subida, larga es la bajada, unas cuantas horas de bajada, interrumpida esta para comer, por la tarde seguimos bajando hasta
el pueblo en el que puedes tomar una cerveza y descansar durmiendo en unas casitas cómo en el día anterior.
Día tres de la caminata, nos despertamos pronto, a las 5 de la mañana, para desayunar e ir andando por una pista que nos llevó al
lugar en el que comimos, nos hicieron una muestra de cómo hacen el café allí y cogimos una furgoneta que nos trasladó a la hidroeléctrica,
una vez ahí realizamos dos horas de caminata y llegamos a Aguas calientes, en los que descansamos en hotel y cenamos en restaurante.
El día 4 de la experiencia nos llevó a la guinda del pastel de nuestro viaje a Perú, el Machu Picchu, el cual, nuestro guía Luis, siempre
muy amable y atento de todo, nos explicó estupendamente.

Antes de partir parecía arriesgado, pero ya desde el primer dia nuestro guía john se encargó de mostrarnos/enseñarnos de... read more manera entretedida todo lo que gira en torno a la ruta. Comentarios en torno a los cafetales, plantas, arboles, los pobladores actuales y su trabajo, los incas y su cultura fueron recibidos como jamás pensé por un adolescente de 15 años. Gran empatía de john, aparte de ser muy respetuoso, atento y capaz de resolver pequeños inconvenientes típicos de un viaje. La noche en la casa del mono fue la que más nos gustó, aun cuando es un lugar rústico, la comida, la vista del lugar, el anfitrión y el desayuno hacen de la estadia algo espectacular. Nos hubiéramos quedado otra noche felices ahí.
La ruta exige una condición fisica aceptable con paisajes realmente espectaculares.
