New Schedule of Entrance to Machu Picchu 2023

Currently, visitors to Machu Picchu do not know the schedules and circuits of Machu Picchu well since it is something new and we usually tend to overlook it, due to lack of knowledge or due to the expectations and excitement of visiting this new wonder of the modern world, so In this article we will clarify everything so that you can visit with complete peace of mind.

The Government want to improve the service, order and experience of visitors to Machu Picchu, for it reason announced that the Entrance to Machu Picchu that until December 2018 was in 3 shifts and 1 circuit has changed for this 2022, 2023, the entrance to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu will be in 9 shifts, from 6 a.m. is entered by spaces of 1 hour until 2 p.m. and in 4 different circuits and 5 different kind of tickets.

   1.- Machu Picchu Llacta  (Circuit 1, 2, 3, 4)

  • 2nd turn entrance to Machu Picchu  7 to 8 a.m. – 190 spaces
  • 3rd turn entrance to Machu Picchu  8 to 9 a.m. – 190 spaces
  • 4th turn entrance to Machu Picchu  9 to 10 a.m. – 190 spaces
  • 5th turn entrance to Machu Picchu 10 to 11 a.m. – 190 spaces
  • 6th turn entrance to Machu Picchu  11to 12 p.m. – 190 spaces
  • 7th turn entrance to Machu Picchu  12 to 1 p.m. – 190 spaces
  • 8th turn entrance to Machu Picchu  1 to 2 p.m. – 190 spaces
  • 9th turn entrance to Machu Picchu  2 to 3 p.m. – 190 spaces

   2.- Machu Picchu + Mountain  (Circuit 3)

This is the only ticket to Machu Picchu that has re-entry.

These changes of Entrance to Machu Picchu was announced by the decentralized commission of Foreign Trade and Tourism, this measure will allow to improve all the connection services to Machu Picchu main tourist attraction of Peru.

Mincetur indicated that this measure was coordinated, developed and promoted by the Ministry of Culture, also has the support of Mincetur, the Ministry of the Environment, authorities of the Cusco region, tourist associations, among others.
