Huchuy Qosqo Biking Tour Briefing

This biking tour is one of the most amazing mountain bike tours in Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Visiting Huchuy Qosqo archaeological site on foot is pleasant, but doing it on a bike is unforgettable. On this tour you will do adventure sports, cultural immersion, and connect with nature. This tour can also connect up with Machu Picchu – Peru.
Huchuy Qosqo, meaning “Small Cusco” in Quechua, is an archaeological site north of Cusco, Peru located at 3,600m (11,800ft), about 800m above the village of Lamay in the Sacred Valley. The site was named in the 20th century, having previously been known as Kakya Qawani. Pedro de Cieza de Leon, in his Second Chronicle of Peru, said that the palaces here were built by Viracocha, the eighth Inca Emperor. Among a large number of stone and adobe buildings is a 40m long kallanka (large hall). The site’s water supply is a rock-filled Inca irrigation canal about 800m long. Come take advantage of the opportunity to get to this remote site in a unique way!
